Wixom, Michigan, Dec. 19, 2005 - ROMER now provides training on its line of portable coordinate measuring machines (PCMMs) and software at selected Hexagon Metrology Precision Centers. Training is available at Hexagon Metrology Precision Centers in Nashville, Tennessee; Lake Forest, California; Elgin, Illinois; and Wixom, Michigan.

The training program includes instruction on the ROMER INFINITE Arm and STINGER II PCMMs and a three-day training session on ROMER’s PowerINSPECT software. The company plans to add a multi-day PC-DMIS™ metrology software training module.

The ROMER family of PCMMs is now available with factory-installed PC-DMIS software. “Bringing these Hexagon Metrology Precision Centers on line as ROMER training venues greatly increases our customers’ access to training,” said Wayne Bending, ROMER Training Manager. “We will also be expanding the number of classes in each Precision Center and the capacity of each class as we move forward in this overall expansion of our training program. The goal is to offer customers a full product range of easily accessible training programs in many US market areas,” he added.
