The INFINITE CMM is the most accurate articulating arm ROMER has produced and will feature ROMER's patented infinite rotation, quick-change probes with automatic probe recognition and now - integrated Wi-Fi provides INFINITE portability. In addition, INFINITE CMMs will incorporate the following exclusive features:

• NEW integrated wireless communication (WIFI 8.02.11b) with integrated Li-ION battery for INFINITE portability
• NEW integrated low profile Zero-G counterbalance
• NEW integrated USB digital camera
• NEW universal mounting system reduces the footprint and simplifies set-up
• NEW Heidenhain encoders manufactured to our specifications for "wide-track" bearing support
• NEW next generation electronics with on-board diagnostics

In addition, only ROMER provides a NIST-traceable calibrated length standard with every arm to allow the operator to easily verify and document system performance for ISO or vender requirements.

A seven axes INFINITE arm is also available for real time laser scanning inspection or reverse engineering. This arm features:

• A NEW combination hard probe - laser scanning probe assembly with patented infinite rotation that accommodates laser cameras manufactured by Perceptron, 3D Scanners and Kreon.
• The handle of the combination probe assembly is removable to allow operation in tight confines.
• All wiring necessary for third party laser scanners is internal to the arm.

INFINITE series arms will be available in both a six and seven axes configuration with measuring ranges of 4- (6 axes only), 6-, 8-, 9-, 10- and 12 feet.
