Hexagon Metrology announces Web Reporting Suite

All New Release of PC-DMIS Integrated Server Based SPC Software Package

North Kingstown, RI – September 13, 2010 – Hexagon Metrology announced the release of the Web Reporting Suite at IMTS 2010, a server based version of the recently released DataPage+ product, which provides seamless integration with PC-DMIS, the de facto standard measuring software. The Web reporter version of DataPage+ is designed around enterprise and supply chain workflows by using a concurrent network-licensing model that allows a shared pool of licenses to be used to access the software, without any software needing to be installed on user computers.

In the Web Reporter version, the DataPage+ SPC software interface, which looks exactly like the desktop version, is accessed via a web browser. Thus, DataPage's market leading features, which provide meaningful, actionable and timely feedback to the shop floor, can be accessed from anywhere. This results in measurable savings in time, resources and money. All of the features of DataPage+, including its available CAD integrated reporting feature, are accessible via the web reporter edition.

Other productivity enhancing features include a report scheduling feature, which can be set to email required reports at timed intervals, and a desktop report viewer application that allows complete 3D DataPage+ reports to be viewed by authorized users without the need to access the Web Reporter server or occupy a license.

"The CAD integration in DataPage+ is its most unique feature," said Ping Fang, product manager for DataPage+ at Wilcox Associates, Inc. "And we wanted to make sure that all the functionality of the desktop version, with the CAD integrated reporting, was available in the web reporter version. The enterprise features of Web Reporting suite appeals to companies that wish to centralize their data collection and report distribution. From a supply chain perspective, suppliers can submit data from a desktop version of DataPage+ over the web to a web reporter server, so that results are instantly available before parts are even shipped."

At IMTS 2010, a web reporter server is running live at Hexagon Metrology booth E-5115, collecting live data from the equipment on display. More information can be found on www.PC-DMIS.com or www.WilcoxAssoc.com.
